An online phenomenon for his passion for all things railway, Francis has gone on to front TV shows introducing celebrities to the wonder of trains, seeing what it takes to travel to space, and as one of Amazon’s Grand Tour trio.
Francis Bourgeois is a railway and engineering enthusiast, whose knowledge and passion has made him one of the world's most recognisable digital creators, with an audience of over six million. He gained cult status for his human, uplifting and engaging trainspotting adventures, with infectious enthusiasm for rail and industrial engineering that has won him celebrity fans across music, comedy and sport.
After becoming a social media phenomenon, Francis has established himself in broadcast and other media. He hosted the Channel 4 series Trainspotting with Francis Bourgeois, where he joined a series of celebrities travelling across the UK to discover the joys of trainspotting. Alongside series including Francis and Chris: We Saved a Train, and Mission to Space with Francis Bourgeois, he is part of the presenting trio of Amazon Video's global hit car show The Grand Tour.
Beyond broadcasting, Francis has authored The Trainspotter's Notebook, which captures some of his most memorable trainspotting experiences across the country. He has collaborated with brands including from LEGO and M&S to Jean Paul Gaultier and, perhaps inevitably, Trainline. Having turned down a role at Rolls Royce in favour of a social media career, he now restores cars, shares his wider passion for engineering from power stations to motors, and has launched a YouTube channel combining his love of scooters with interviewing guests, Scooting and Chatting. On stage, he’ll discuss everything from the value of both innovation and industrial heritage to building an authentic brand and community through creativity and passion.
