Sara Davies is an entrepreneur, investor and one of the UK’s most recognisable business personalities. She built her company from a bedroom start-up into a global craft brand, has become a leading voice on entrepreneurship and innovation, and appeared on five series of BBC One’s Dragons’ Den.
While still at university, Sara founded Crafter’s Companion from her student bedroom after spotting a gap in the market for a crafting tool she had developed. Within a few years the business had expanded internationally, selling into more than 40 countries with a multi-million-pound turnover. Her journey from idea to global success has made her a role model for entrepreneurs and creatives alike.
Sara joined Dragons’ Den as an investor, at the time the youngest ever Dragon, bringing energy and enthusiasm as well as her practical experience of scaling a business, backing a range of ventures across sectors. She has since become one of the programme’s most active Dragons, known for her hands-on approach to mentoring founders and her clear-eyed assessments of what it takes to grow a business.
