Biography

Cassie Kozyrkov is a consultant, advisor and writer on artificial intelligence and decision-making, and a pioneering figure in the field of Decision Intelligence. She served as Google’s first Chief Decision Scientist. During her decade at Google, she played a leading role in the company’s transformation into an AI-first business, training over 20,000 employees, and shaping more than 500 high-impact initiatives through her work on data-driven strategy.

Cassie explores how AI can be harnessed to augment and improve human potential, rather than replace it. She examines why so many organisations struggle with AI adoption, and how leaders can cut through the hype to build clear, practical, valuable strategies. She considers the evolving role of leadership in an AI-first world, the rise of generative AI, and how executives can become ‘authors of meaning’ by translating complex networks and capabilities into business impact. From digital trust to decision-making to the promise and limitations of machine intelligence, Cassie challenges received ideas about the future and technology.

Since leaving Google, Cassie has advised leaders at organisations including NASA, Gucci, Meta, Salesforce, and GSK, helping them shape responsible, effective AI strategies that focus on business value. Her focus is on equipping decision-makers with the tools and mindset needed to lead confidently in the era of AI — blending technical insight with a deep understanding of human behaviour and organizational change.

As well as addressing audiences from the UN and World Economic Forum to SXSW, Cassie has also written for the Harvard Business Review, WIRED, Fortune, Fast Company, and Forbes AI, where she has appeared on the cover. Originally from South Africa, Cassie attended university from the age of 15 and holds degrees in economics, mathematical statistics, psychology and neuroscience. She lectures at Harvard Business School and serves as an advisor and investor in new tech companies, helping to shape the next wave of innovation.
