Biography

Kevin Sinfield is a former rugby league player-turned-coach and charity fundraiser. One of the most successful league players of all time who captained at club and international level, he is perhaps better known for his extraordinary fundraising challenges and advocacy for Motor Neurone Disease.

During his playing career, Kevin held the record as the highest points-scorer in Super League history and is one of only two players to have led a team to win three consecutive Super League titles. He earned 26 caps for England, which he captained, and 14 caps for Great Britain. He received the Golden Boot, the sport's most prestigious individual honour, and was knighted for his services to rugby league, becoming only the second league player ever to be knighted in over 130 years of the sport. After retiring from playing, he moved into coaching and leadership roles, serving as Leeds Rhinos' first Director of Rugby before changing codes and moving to union team Leicester Tigers as Defence Coach, helping the club to a Premiership title. He now serves as Assistant Coach to the England national rugby union team.

Since his former Leeds teammate Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, Kevin has dedicated himself to fundraising and raising awareness for MND. Through a series of remarkable challenges, including seven marathons in seven days (raising over £2 million), 101 miles in 24 hours from Leicester to Leeds, seven ultra-marathons in seven days, and pushing Rob in a wheelchair for the Leeds Marathon, Kevin has raised over £10million for the MND Association and related charities. These challenges have inspired communities across the UK and united people around a cause, demonstrating that individual resilience and collective action can drive meaningful change

Kevin explores the power of resilience, leadership and teamwork through both his experience in elite sport, his transition to new challenges, and his personal mission to support those living with MND. He addresses how leaders build and sustain high-performing cultures, the importance of loyalty and support for others, and how to maintain purpose and drive when facing change or adversity. From leading teams at the highest levels, navigating career transitions with integrity, to channelling personal relationships into meaningful action, he speaks on the human side of leadership. Beyond strategy and tactics, he looks at how to inspire others and create lasting impact through example, determination and collective commitment to shared goals.
