One of the biggest pop acts in the UK, The Saturdays have sold over five million records in the UK and Ireland alone. They have released four albums and also starred in Chasing The Saturdays, a reality TV series, which shows the band ‘breaking’ America. The girls have cameo-d in Hollyoaks and filmed a documentary - The Saturdays 24/7 - for ITV2. They variously appear regularly as panellists on Sweat the Small Stuff on BBC3.
The Saturdays are one of the biggest pop acts in the UK with over a dozen top ten singles and four top ten albums, getting their big break when touring with Girls Aloud. They have sold over five million records in the UK and Ireland and four sell-out tours.
Chosen through a record-label audition process, the girls came together in 2007. They have covered a number of popular hits as well as releasing their own records, including Depeche Mode’s Just Cant’s Get Enough, which was released as the Comic Relief charity single and entered the charts at No.2.
In a bid to break America the girls starred in their own reality show, Chasing The Saturdays, which premiered on the E! network in 2013. It became the most-watched show on the channel, beating the long-standing No.1 incumbent, a Kardashian spin-off. The Saturdays’ subsequent single knocked Justin Timberlake off the number one spot several weeks later.
Away from the studio the group have worked on a clothing line with Miss Selfridge and on endorsements for Nintendo, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever and cosmetics brand FashionistA. They have had cameos in Hollyoaks, made fly-on-the-wall documentaries for ITV2 and Channel 4, and appeared (separately) as regular panellists on Sweat the Small Stuff.
