The Puppini Sisters

The Puppini Sisters

Close Harmony Trio

Synopsis

A modern day take on the Andrews Sisters, the Puppinis pay their tribute to the swing time close harmony of the 1930s and 40s. The set includes classic crowd pleasers Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and The Heebie Jeebies - as well as contemporary hits like The Smith’s Panic.

Biography

Like a modern day take on the Andrews Sisters, The Puppinis perform kitsch versions of classics like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and The Heebie Jeebies, as well as contemporary hits like The Smiths’ Panic and Beyonce’s Crazy in Love in their retro close harmony style.

Each of the girls has enjoyed success with traditional jazz ensembles. Performing as The Puppini Sisters allows them to let their hair down – or twist it up into kiss curls – for the stylised and beautifully choreographed tribute to the swing-time close harmony trios of the 1930s and 40s.

With an international gold disc for their first album, live appearances everywhere from the Roxy on Sunset Strip to Glastonbury and Montreal Festivals, and with music featured in BBC1’s Jonathan Creek and ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, the trio have taken the spirit of ‘40s glamour and reinvented it for the world.
