The mezzo-soprano and ‘Face of Wales’ is the UK’s biggest selling classical artist. She has sold out Sydney Opera House, toured in Viva La Diva with Darcey Bussell and released nine successful albums. She performs after dinner with piano accompaniment.

Biography

Katherine Jenkins is the UK’s biggest selling classical artist. She is the first mezzo-soprano to claim two classical number ones in the same year, and the only singer to have simultaneously held the top three chart positions. She is also well known to fans of rugby union as the Welsh team mascot.

The former model and ‘Face of Wales’ scooped the biggest classical recording contract in British history, soon after graduating from the Royal Academy of Music. Her first release Premiere even outsold heavyweights like Kiri Te Kanawa. Several albums and two Brit awards later, the phenomenon continues.

The valley girl has performed across the world, from Live 8 in Berlin to a sell-out concert at the Sydney Opera House. She has also toured with the prima ballerina Darcey Bussell in Viva La Diva. Whether singing opera or ‘classicalised’ pop, Katherine always brings superstar glamour.
