Even if no-one can predict every twist and turn to come, we all need to understand the macro-economic factors in play and how they might affect our own market. The likes of Robert Peston, Anthony Hilton, Justin Urquhart Stewart and Irwin have never been in greater demand on the speaker circuit.

845 guests crammed into Cadogan Hall to enjoy the 17th Real Variety Show. Stephen K Amos and 8 Out Of 10 Cats star Jason Manford both stormed - but the biggest hit of the night was the phenomenal beatbox artist Beardyman. Rarely have so many event organisers and producers got on their feet and joined in the fun.
