Peter Salgo is an Emmy Award-winning medical journalist, practicing physician, and respected healthcare futurist. He is also a practicing physician at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, he makes rounds five days a week. Specialising in the pre - and post-
operative treatment of heart patients, heart transplant recipients, and artificial heart candidates, he also maintains a full-time practice in Intensive Care Medicine in the Open Heart ICU at Columbia.
