Ray Stubbs brings a wealth of football knowledge as a presenter of Premier League coverage. He also offers entertainment value, whether exchanging banter with co-presenters or attempting to sing, as the nation witnessed in Comic Relief does Fame Academy.
Ray began his career as a player with Tranmere Rovers, before he was forced into an administrative role. Switching to broadcasting, he joined BBC Manchester as an assistant producer on snooker, darts and bowls as well as A Question of Sport. In 2009 he made a high profile switch to ESPN as the main anchor of the new channel's football output.
Ray's onscreen credits include Grandstand, Match of the Day and Sportsnight. He also reported for On the Line, investigating the behaviour of England football fans.
