Torin Douglas

As media correspondent for BBC News, Torin covers all aspects of the industry from content to ownership and regulation. He contributes to radio networks, television news bulletins and the online service.

Torin has reported on future funding of the BBC, the growth of digital, the row over Jerry Springer the Opera, privacy cases involving Catherine Zeta-Jones and Naomi Campbell, and newspapers' transition from broadsheet to tabloid.

Torin's career includes spells on the Economist, The Times and The Sunday Times, and a media column for Marketing Week. He is also author of The Complete Guide to Advertising, Fellow of the Communications, Advertising and Marketing Foundation, and a former chairman of the Broadcasting Press Guild.
