BIOGRAPHY
Sue Lawley began her presenting career on Nationwide and Tonight. She went on to front evening news bulletins and Question Time as well as hosting Wogan and other chat shows; but her longest stint was on Desert Island Discs, where she pandered to the whims of castaways for eighteen years.
Sue continues to serve on the board of English National Opera and to chair the annual Reith Lectures. Since she has taken over the role, subjects have included the climate of fear, the triumph of technology and Chinese relations with the West.
