BIOGRAPHY
Rajan Datar is host of fast:track, BBC World's travel programme. He is best known for his work on The Money programme, writing and presenting more than 30 half-hour films and breathing new life into what had become a staid TV institution.
Rajan has fronted Rough Guide to the World, C4's People's Parliament and BBC2's new media vehicle, The Net. He has filed reports for Newsnight on social trends, and guest presented the film show On Screen for World Service Radio.
In an already varied career, Rajan also writes features for The Times and others, and tours the world as bass player with the ska band Maroon.
