Martin Soong is anchor on CNBC Asia's Squawk Box, the network's morning programme. The fast-paced, free-flowing debate sets the region's news agenda for the day.
Soong has dominated business TV in Asia for more than a decade. He has covered the Asian financial crisis, APEC and ASEAN summits as well as post-conflict zones like East Timor.
He has interviewed many of the region's political heavyweights, including Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Korean President Kim Dae Jung. Soong has also quizzed some of the world's top business leaders from Bill Gates to Jeff Immelt and Carlos Ghosn.
Martin Soong speaks regularly at major gatherings like the World Economic Forum. He has four times been voted Best News Anchor at the Asian Television Awards.
