Peter Cochrane is founder of ConceptLabs. Using net-based technology, he looks ahead to help companies optimise their business potential.
Futurists, by definition, are imaginative and curious. Added to this, Peter speaks with the passion of a digital activist; his mission is to bring clarity and focus to how we understand ourselves and technology, and how one is transforming the other.
As BT's former Chief Technologist, Peter believes that progess is a one-way process. Challenging existing business practices, he tackles the difficulties large corporations experience in reacting to change, and their inability fully to exploit R&D to get product to market.
A consultant to corporations and governments, Cochrane is arguably one of the most influential thinkers of the information age. His work includes research on artificial life, mobility, business modelling and the 'cybernisation' of mankind.
Peter Cochrane is a Professor of Public Understanding of Science & Technology. He is author of numerous books including Tips for Time Travellers - a primer on living in the future.
