A budding stand-up comedian, Charan has opened a karaoke venue and the Slumdog restaurant. He has appeared on Channel 4's The Secret Millionaire and has published his autobiography, Tikka Look At Me Now.
Charan is a winner of the Asian Entrepreneur of the Year award. He's also Chair of the Ethnic Minorities into Work group, and Vice Chairman of Entrepreneurial Exchange. Along with Slumdog, he runs a property company and a business networking group.
