Aside from running restaurants, advising supermarkets, fronting TV commercials and appearing on cookery programmes, Aldo Zilli hosts an extraordinary activity day for small corporate groups.
The day begins at 6.30am at Billingsgate fish market, with Aldo explaining what to look for amongst the stalls. After breakfast at a local café, delegates move on to the Soho restaurant to make four kinds of pasta before cleaning, filleting and cooking the fish. With a quick break for prosecco, it's time to learn from the pastry chef before finally sitting down to enjoy lunch - the fruits of their own teamwork.
One of nine children, Aldo was born in the small seaside town of Alba Adriatica in central Italy. He is now a British resident and owner of numerous restaurants around London, all with Zilli in their title. He has also been commissioned to redesign the airline meals for Thompson Airlines.
Aldo's TV credits include Good Food Live and Celebrity Fit Club, in which he lost 15.5 kilos and impressed the panel so much they made him captain. He also made his presence felt in X Factor: Battle of the Stars - along with Jean-Christophe Novelli, Paul Rankin and Ross Burden.
Aldo holds the the world record for the most times a pancake is flipped in a minute. He achieved 117 flips in 60 seconds.
