BIOGRAPHY
A firm favourite with his topical songs on Radio 4's The Now Show, Mitch is widely acknowledged as one of the best writers and performers of comic songs in the country.
Winner of Mercury Comedian of the Year, Mitch has performed many times at the Edinburgh Fringe. He also appeared in the successful revue, The Bootleg Bootleg Beatles and Carlton Comedy Warehouse.
He has now teamed up with Kirsty Newton on bass/keyboards and Tash Bayliss on drums to create Mitch Benn and the Distractions. The band deliver deftly crafted satirical songs with no subject beyond their reach - from how to write a West End musical to digital television and that age-old poetry debate, Shakespeare vs Eminem.
