BIOGRAPHY
New Zealand's foremost digi-bongo-acapella-rap-influenced guitar-based bongo-folk funk band Flight of the Conchords combine stand up comedy and close harmony singing.
Best known in the UK for the Phones 4U commercial in which they spread the message from a campervan, Flight of the Conchords bring together artists as diverse as Bob Dylan and Eminem in their folk parodies. Between songs the duo have a lovely line in laid back banter, deadpan observations and cutting one liners.
Outside of the Conchords, Jemaine is also half of New Zealand comedy duo Humourbeasts who have won top comedy awards The Billy T and Spirit of the Fringe award in Edinburgh. He also co-wrote and acted in feature film Tongan Ninja. Bret has several fansites dedicated to his non-speaking elf character in Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings.
