Set against an ever-changing soundtrack, Ennio Marchetto transforms himself into 'living cartoons' of everyone from Mona Lisa to Ozzie Osbourne and Amy Winehouse. He takes the humble art of mimicry into entirely new realms

Born in Venice, Ennio was inspired by Disney films and the local tradition of Commedia dell'Arte to dream up costumes for the famous Carnevale. Using only coloured paper and plastics, his creations were an instant hit and he began to develop more characters for each year's event.

Ennio went on to win first prize in the Zanzara d'Oro in Bologna, attracting offers to appear all over Italy. He then caused a sensation in Edinburgh, and has since performed live and on television from Japan to Argentina, as well as sell-out runs in the West End.

Ennio Marchetto has a repertoire of over 100 cartoon characters. The show is constantly updated, with the line-up depending on the nationality and profile of the audience. This is popular culture at its most witty and most colourful - with universal appeal.
