As well as standup comedy, Bradley’s career has taken him from Brentford FC to game shows, including the hugely popular The Chase, and from the cobbles of Coronation Street to the furthest reaches of space and time in Doctor Who.

Biography

Bradley Walsh, once a professional footballer with Brentford, has become a household name on a very different playing field. Having turned to standup comedy, he's now one of the country's best known presenters and television actors with roles ranging from Law & Order: UK to Coronation Street to Doctor Who.

After injury put a premature end to his football, Bradley went into entertainment, starting out as a Pontins bluecoat before being spotted by ITV in a talent content. His break came with an invitation to star on the Royal Variety Performance, which led to regular TV apperances, easily winning over audiences with his laddish charm.

Bradley took over from Nicky Campbell as presenter of ITV's primetime gameshow The Wheel of Fortune, quickly establishing his own warm, down-to-earth style. There followed many other quiz and panel shows before he took the reigns of the hugely popular The Chase. Alongside his presenting he carved a parallel career as an actor, playing Mike Baldwin's nephew Danny in Coronation Street before building a wide ranging list of credits from an adaptation of The Old Curiosity Shop to Law & Order and, of course, Doctor Who.
