BIOGRAPHY
Charles Campion has been food critic of the London Evening Standard for more than a decade, dishing out reviews and discussing the highs, the lows and the creamy insides.
Moving into the food business after 15 years in advertising, Charles set up a luxury hotel with his wife and assumed the position of head chef. While the kitchen attracted much acclaim, the hotel was unable to stand the force of the 90s recession, and Charles began writing instead.
He has reviewed restaurants for The Independent, Telegraph, BBC Good Food Magazine and Bon Appetit. He's also appeared on Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef.
Charles co-hosted Sky's Greatest Dishes of the World, and served on the critics' panel of Eating with the Enemy. He is also the author of The London Restaurant Guide and a judge for the London Restaurant Awards.
